Weight Inclusive Nutrition & Dietetics Symposium

Hosted by Heather Caplan

Are you curious about what it means to take a weight-inclusive approach to nutrition and dietetics? Want to learn more about the research on weight stigma, and weight cycling?

Join us at the inaugural Weight-Inclusive Nutrition & Dietetics Workshop!

As nutrition professionals, we’re constantly in search of the best, evidence-based method for helping our clients and patients. As the non-diet approach as grown in popularity, there often seems to be widening divide between this approach and traditional dietetics.

But we are more united than we are divided.

We all have one essential thing in common: we want to help people. We are united in this shared reality. Our clients and patients need evidence-based nutrition education, guidance, and therapy, and more than anything, they need compassion. All nutrition professionals want to have the best tools at our disposal to do this important work.

This Weight-Inclusive Nutrition and Dietetics (WIND) event series was designed to open us up to these tough conversations, connect with and learn from each other, and unite our profession.

Join friends and colleagues in a spectacular location for 4 days to reconnect with community and re-energise your passion and commitment for doing meaningful, body-inclusive work in the world. Caring for others invites us to pause, and consider what this actually means in the context of the systems in which we work and live.

Breathe In - the warmth and energy of a like-minded community who “get it”
Breathe Out - the challenges of living & working in diet culture.

Feel held by experienced retreat facilitators who love to both dig deep into the tough stuff, AND have fun.
